FAQ
EASYRO® drink+house

General

The right EASYRO® model depends on your application and your peak water demand.

Please find out your water requirements.
We will be happy to advise you according to your requirements.

Yes. The pore size is more than 1000 x smaller than viruses, bacteria or parasites. However, the manufacturers of the membranes only specify a max. filtration of >99%. Micro-lesions and pinhols can occur during the manufacturing process and the winding of the membrane. Up to 1% could possibly slip through these.

More about reverse osmosis

The following table shows the filtration efficiency of the EASYRO® units.

The filtered-out pollutants are permanently flushed into the sewer by the automatic membrane flushing with the wastewater.

More about reverse osmosis

Depending on the input water (degree of hardness of the water) and the water temperature (15°C = optimum working temperature according to the membrane manufacturer), the proportion of waste water is at least 35 %.

If the EASYRO® system is in continuous production and is not shut down without preservative due to annual leave, germination in the system can almost be ruled out.

To ensure that the complete water treatment system remains clean, we recommend a UVC immersion lamp in the stainless steel tank and disinfection of the system during the six-monthly maintenance.

If the EASYRO® system is switched off due to a holiday and is not conserved, the automatic flushing cycles of the membranes can no longer work and the water remains in the system.
In this condition, germination cannot be ruled out within 2 weeks.

To ensure that the complete water treatment system remains clean, we recommend a UVC immersion lamp in the stainless steel tank.

While both reverse osmosis system and distillation units effectively reduce the level of "dissolved solids" in water, the processes are quite different.

Reverse osmosis filters water through a very dense, semi-permeable membrane, while a distiller acts like a large tea kettle that boils water, collects the steam, condenses it and collects the resulting water. Most of the impurities remain in the boiling chamber.

Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) is a measure of the combined content of all inorganic and organic chemicals dissolved in water.
These components may be in molecular, ionised or microgranular suspended form.

Examples of inorganic chemicals that commonly contribute to the measurement of TDS are calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, bicarbonate, chloride and sulphate. Organic chemicals that can contribute to TDS come from the use of chemicals in soil, industrial release of chemicals into the environment, plant and/or animal matter.

In a laboratory setting, TDS is measured by weighing the mass of solids that remain when the water has completely evaporated.

In practice, handheld meters are often used to estimate the TDS value in water based on a conductivity measurement.

The TDS value varies greatly from region to region (and from location to location), and is generally determined by the water source (groundwater or surface water) and the geological characteristics of the region. A reverse osmosis filtration system is the best solution for removing TDS from drinking water.

Installation and commissioning

You can install and commission the complete EASYRO® water treatment system yourself. For installation, follow our instructions in the operating manual.

The treatment unit should be placed in a cool, dry, easily accessible and well ventilated place.

Consider the distance from the water inlet for feeding the system and the distance from the sewer for the waste water.

Remember that depending on the system components (e.g. pump, UVC lamp system, etc.), there are also sufficient Schuko sockets, type F, 230 V, available.

For tank sizes over 500 litres capacity, determine the load-bearing capacity of the floor.

The noise level is approx. 60 dB (A) for all models.

Preparation EASYRO® 150/300/600:
Open the cover (4 screws at the top and 3 screws each at the top left and right of the unit) Remove the cover. The control unit is located at the front right of the unit

Preparation EASYRO® 60/120/240/480:
It is not necessary to remove the cover. The controls are operated from the front.

Menu operation for all EASYRO® units:
The display of the control unit must show the date and time. If this is not the case, navigate up or down with the arrow keys until the date and time appear.
Press "ESC" - select "Setup" from the menu - press "OK".
Select "Clock" from the menu - press "OK".
Select "Set clock" from the menu - press "OK".
Use the arrow keys to set the desired date and time - confirm with "OK".
Press the "ESC" key several times until the initial screen appears again.

When the date/time appears on EASYRO® 60/120/240/480, press the up arrow key again.

Finished.

The drill holes must have a diameter of 10 mm.
Use the supplied fixing material (dowels and screws).

Mount the level probe in the tank and make the connection to the EASYRO®.

Important! The probe must rest on the bottom of the tank!

Important! The probe cable must not be kinked or crushed!

The preservative of the plant is flushed out.

No water may run into the tank during the fault - only into the canal!

As soon as the value on the display goes below 80 µs/cm, the system switches to production. This may take a few minutes.
Now the tank is filled and only the wastewater is flushed into the sewer.

The installation is now complete and the unit is in normal operation.

Maintenance

Of course, you can maintain your EASYRO® system yourself.

You will need the appropriate maintenance set, which you can order from your dealer or directly from us.

The suitable maintenance set depends on the type of your EASYRO® system (120/150, 240/300, 480/600).
Please state the type of plant when ordering.

With the maintenance set, you receive an instruction manual that guides you through the individual maintenance steps.

Only operate your EASYRO® system with original and properly installed pre-filters.

If new filters are used, they must be flushed into the sewer in the pre-filter housing for at least 3 minutes.
The flushing water from the filters must not enter the system. The filters were conserved. This preservative can affect the membranes.

Only reattach the device to the pre-filter casing once the flushing process is complete.

To determine the reason for the failure, please check the points listed here in order.

  1. Tank full
  2. Power supply interrupted
  3. Water supply interrupted
  4. Error message on the display

Filter change:
The maintenance interval for an EASYRO® system is 4,500 operating hours.

If "CHANGE FILTER" appears on the display, the pre-filters must be replaced and the membranes cleaned.

You can carry out the maintenance yourself or commission a service technician.

Membrane exchange:
If the conductivity value (µs/cm) increases too much and no longer decreases, the membranes must be replaced.
Make an appointment with a service technician.

Preservative and disinfection

The preservative is drawn into the unit in the same way as the membrane cleaning agent during maintenance, but remains in the unit until you put the unit back into operation after your return from annual leave.

EASYRO® 60/120/240/480:
To flush out the preservative, disconnect the system from the tank and plug it.
Flush the preservative into the canal for about 5 minutes.

You can then reconnect to the tank and start production.

EASYRO® 150/300/600:
Through the rejection valve, the preservative is automatically flushed into the canal. As soon as the water is clean again, the tank is refilled.

You can order the preservative from your dealer or directly from us.

The suitable quantity depends on the type of your EASYRO® system (120/150, 240/300, 480/600).
Please state the type of plant when ordering.

If the six-monthly maintenance of your EASYRO® system is carried out by our technicians, the complete water treatment including the stainless steel tank can be disinfected with our henndrixx disinfectant on request.

With this measure, a possible contamination of the water treatment system can be almost completely ruled out.
